Scottish Renewables Marine Conference

Eden Court, Inverness, September 19 - 20th 2011

Scottish Renewables presents the annual Marine Energy Conference & Exhibition on Monday and Tuesday 19 - 20 September 2011 in association with Highlands & Islands Enterprise; this event will take place at Eden Court, Inverness, with a conference dinner on Monday 19 at the Bishop's Palace - places for the dinner booked separately.

The conference is the landmark policy and networking event for wave and tidal energy in Scotland's renewable energy calendar. Each year, industry, local and national government, regulators and academia come together to set new ambitions for the sector and debate the actions required to underpin the industry's continued growth.

Returning to Inverness, for a third year, and with an expected 200 or more delegates and 30 exhibitors, this Conference is set to be bigger than ever.  The focus of the conference is how we deliver the first arrays, looking at progress that has been made so far, where we need to go and  where improvements must be focussed.

This year so far has proved to be pivotal for the wave and tidal sector with real progress coming in terms of steel in the water and new players entering the market. With a real focus on collaboration and the technology we are gearing up for discussion and practical actions coming for the conference debates.

The session will include influential speakers from the industry - both project and technology developers, Scottish Government, regulators and finance and market experts.
