Scottish Renewables Annual Conference 2011

Scottish Renewables' Annual Conference is the landmark policy and networking event in Scotland's renewable energy calendar. Each March, delegates and speakers gather to look at challenges, actions and opportunities for Scotland's renewable energy industry on the world stage.


Held this year in Glasgow's SECC, this was Scottish Renewable's biggest conference, exhibition and networking platform to date, with over 400 delegates, 50 exhibitors and key national and international speakers.


in 2010 the Scottish Government outlined big ambitions for the industry, including an 80% renewable electricity target, significant challenges to decarbonise heat and transport and the need to drive forward economic recovery.


This year's conference looked at the unlimited potential for Scotland's renewable energy industry and what steps should be taken to realise our ambitious targets.
