Marine Energy: Demonstrating the Viability of Delivery in Europe

SEGEC recently hosted a Marine seminar in Brussels, which brought together representatives from Scottish and European marine energy technology companies and project developers with MEPs, European Commission and EIB staff for an evening of discussion and debate on how Europe can lead the world in the commercialisation of marine energy.

Organised by MacKay Hannah, the Scottish European Green Energy Centre 2011 conference takes place as Scotland stands on the brink of securing a renewable energy future. Can we shrink the nation’s carbon footprint, build a green energy exporting future, see the development of globally exportable skills and technology and potentially secure sovereign wealth for the future? Alex Salmond MSP, First Minister, will deliver the conference keynote address. The event is supported by the European Commission and will also feature a senior EU Commission speaker.
