Influencing Policy

SEGEC will have an important lobbying role, working to ensure that appropriate policy and funding is in place to assist the development and deployment of new green energy solutions. It will:

  • seek to play a major influencing role on policy and strategy at the Scottish, UK and European levels;
  • liaise with policy makers to ensure they are fully aware of, and make appropriate allowance for actions to address the main:
    • constraints to development and deployment of green energy
    • technical opportunities; and
  • disseminate information on important policy and funding developments to Scottish based organisations.
