Encouraging Adoption
SEGEC will endeavour to ensure that Scottish-based organisations are fully aware of the commercial opportunities emerging from its influencing activity and from research projects which it has been involved with.
This will include:
- liaising with partners to compile a data base of academic and commercial organisations with an interest in and capacity to take forward research programme outcomes;
- dissemination of information on the outcomes of research programmes, EU-wide, to relevant academic and commercial organisations;
- a brokerage service, working alongside partners in the enterprise networks, and initiatives such as Interface, to marry research teams with appropriate commercial partners;
- signposting interested organisations to other possible sources of funding support for deployment or commercial applications; and
- preparing case study materials demonstrating the benefits from
the deployment of new developments, to encourage better awareness
and interest from others.
