Jamie Robinson

Jamie joined SEGEC in March 2010 as the Thematic Manager for Renewable Heat. He joined SEGEC from RD Energy Solutions, a renewable energy consultancy and development company, based in Edinburgh, where he completed a commercial research project on solar thermal systems after achieving his MSc in Renewable Energy Engineering from Heriot Watt University in 2009, with Distinction. Jamie's MSc dissertation focused on Marine Energy and was completed whilst based at RDES.

Jamie also graduated with a 1st class honours in Physics from the University of Edinburgh in the summer of 2008.  Jamie is enthusiastic about helping Scotland achieve its potential in renewable energy and recognises the huge part that renewable heat must play if we are to move towards a low-carbon future. As a result, he is now a member of the Forum for Renewable Energy Development in Scotland (FREDS): Renewable Heat Implementation Group, the Renewable Heating and Cooling European Technology Platform, where he sits on the 'Horizontal Working Group for R&D Policy' and the Scottish Renewables 'Heat' Working Group.

Jamie also recently worked with ScottishPower to produce a report to help develop their forward strategy in the renewable heat sector.
